Hmmmm , this is hard. Lol. Hype is for attention ,,, It’s, at its best, a showcase of athletic abilities and certainly draws the crowd, but technique is where the true talent lies. And technique is what makes some thing “last” It’s what one keeps going back to ,, to study, or improve upon, or learn all over again ,,, where “hype” just dies out, to replaced with the next “hype.” Its basically meaningless in the long run. I would chose the technique dancers to win. They are the ones who took the time to learn their craft. Hype is like the “ball hogs” in basketball- it gets attention , scores points , makes people take notice , but in the long run , you don’t want your kids growing up to be someone who always has to outdo everyone else. Class and respect for one’s craft, should be the winners.
